Moissanites are graded on a colour grading scale that is based upon that used by GIA gemologists.

All Florentine moissanites are colourless (D-E-F).

There are three colour grades of moissanite available today:

• Colourless (D-E-F) range;
• Near-Colourless (G-H-I) range; and
• Faint hues of colour (J-K) range.

Moissanites are sold by millimetre size as the benchmark.

The carat is the traditional unit of measurement for a diamond's weight. Moissanite weighs approximately 10% less than a diamond. For example, a 6.5mm round diamond weighs 1.00 carats, while a 6.5mm round moissanite weighs 0.88 carats. Both the diamond and moissanite are the same size - 6.5mm in diameter.

We have listed all our moissanites with their size in millimetres and the approximate Diamond Equivalent Weight (DEW) in carats.

Gemstones can have inclusions such as small black carbon deposits, white feathering, or a cloud of tiny and tightly spaced deposits.

Moissanite can have needle-like inclusions that can be observed with effort under 10x magnification. The inclusions at this level are invisible to the naked eye.

All Florentine moissanites have a clarity of at least VS2.
